When can I visit the Media Center?
The Media Center is open before school at 7:30. Students may visit during this time to check-out or work on assignments, prior to homeroom at 7:45. Most afternoons, the media center will remain open until 4:00. During this time, students are welcome to read or work on assignments; parents are also welcome to assist their students. An announcement will be made when the media center will be closed due to testing, faculty meetings, or other planned activities.
How many books can I check out?
Students are limited to check out two books, and one additional class required reading, at a time. Magazines and periodicals may only be read while visiting the media center. Books are renewable, but are expected to be present at the time of renewal. Students are expected to return books on time, being penalized a fee if the book is determined lost.
How many books are in the Media Center?
We have nearly 20,000 books in the Dillard collection. Having this many books makes it even more important to get the books reshelved in their proper home. If you are unsure, ask me or leave the book on the table tops.
Can I print in the Media Center?
Printing in black and white is possible. To do this, you need to send the material or document to Mrs. Staton using the school email: [email protected] . You will need to visit the media desk in the library to pick up your prints.
Do any clubs meet in the Media Center?
Both Battle of the Books and Code Breakers will be meeting in the media center during their assigned meeting times.
